About EverQuest
EverQuest 2 (EQ2) is a fantasy MMORPG developed by Sony Online Entertainment (SOE). The game features updated graphics and gameplay from its predecessor
EverQuest (EQ).
EverQuest 2 is set 500 years after the storyline of the original EQ game, a time where the fantasy world of Norrath has already been stricken by a cataclysmic event that caused most of the world's civilization to collapse. Thus, in
EQ2 only two main cities remain: Qeynos, the citadel of the forces of good, and Freeport, the stronghold of the forces of evil.
Within
EQ2, players create a character to interact in Norrath. There are tons of activities waiting for players in the EverQuest world such as completing quests, hunting monsters, creating items, and forming guilds. Most of the actions in
EverQuest 2 are geared towards gaining experience and accumulating
EQ2 Platinum (the in-game currency).
