Aion: The Tower of Eternity
Aion is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) where characters wield devastating powers and sweeping wings to explore a celestial world of beauty and adventure. Characters play a pivotal role in the fate of ‘Atreia’ where the enemy is not only the other player faction but also a deadly ancient evil.
The Story of Aion:
In the beginning, Atreia was created by the god Aion along with the ‘Tower of Eternity,’ the magical foundation of the planet. Atreia’s inhabitants prospered until one day, the draconic Balaur race stood up against the gods. The god Aion sent twelve gods to Atreia to protect the Tower of Eternity and fight the Balaur. A long, drawn-out war forces the world into chaos with either side giving up.
A cataclysmic event devastates the planet Atreia and splits it into two separate planes; each under a vicious struggle to demolish the other side’s remaining tower for its own protection and survival. The divided inhabitants of Atreia become the angelic Asmodians and the dark Elyos. In this eternal battle, the existence of the Balaur constantly threatens the survival of the two races and further stokes the flames of war between the Asmodians and Elyos.
Aion has a robust list of features that are unique even to the MMORPG genre. This, paired with stunning graphics and exciting gameplay make for hours of fun.
